Ugly Rituals

Why must so many rituals in Mobile involve polluting the environment with Plastic? Rain was predicted for New Years Eve yet leaders still choose to coat some of the streets in Mobile with tiny pieces of plastic Confetti some of which goes into the Storm Water drains. By late afternoon on New Years day much of downtown Mobile was still littered with trash from the drinking pigs and event planners. Keep coating the Earth with non-biogradeable plastic and there will eventually be some ugly consequences.
