An 8th grade Mobile teacher recently got in trouble for giving her students an old hilarious urban math test. (1)
This is the same urban math test that has been getting teachers in Big trouble for over 20 years. (2) It is comical to see a Mobile teacher just now using the exam and getting in big trouble. It proves Mobile is not only a quarter century behind in recycling and environmental protection programs, but also education.
The Ugly thing is even though over 17,000 American children and teens are shot on average each year (3), many in drive by shootings, if a teacher puts a math question about drive by shootings on a quiz, society ousts the teacher to control the education instead of ousting the guns to control the violence. Education declines while gun violence increases. That is Ugly.
